Less than Two days to the governorship election in Osun State, the Lagos State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has alleged that Governor Babatunde Fashola and the other governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are facilitating the movement of people from various parts of Nigeria to the state to cast votes for Governor Rauf Aregbesola.

The PDP specifically accused Fashola of supporting Aregbesola’s re-election bid with Lagos State resources.

According to reports from This Day, the Lagos State PDP, in a statement yesterday by its spokesperson, Mr. Taofik Gani, said recent call by the APC leadership urging its chieftains to relocate to Osun State was a decoy to cover up the exposed plan of the party to storm Osun with fake voters.
“The said movement of such persons are in two categories; first are those contracted to go and merely vote; the second are the boys of the ‘Team Lagos’ contracted to cause mayhem during voting in the areas identified as weak APC area.
“The ‘Team Lagos’ is a group of dreaded persons who are sympathetic to Tinubu, Fashola and indeed APC,” the PDP claimed.

The opposition party also alleged that Fashola ordered the 57 council chairmen to mobilise in all the 376 Wards and that the governor gave monies to Alimisho, Oshodi-Isolo, Ikorodu, Kosofe and Ojo council areas for adequate mobilisation, claiming that “a whopping sum of N7.6billion has been traced to this project.”
