An elderly couple have become living proof that love never
grows old after being filmed dancing with each other to a busker’s
music.
The UK Metro reports that shoppers in Wolverhampton were surprised to see Joan Culberwell, 86 and Thomas McGonigal, 84, begin waltzing when they heard an accordion player performing one of their favourite tunes on Monday, 4 August, 2014.
Retired bricklayer Thomas said: ‘It wasn’t a planned thing, Joan and I were walking through town to Boots when we stopped to listen to a busker.
“He was playing a medley of lovely ballroom tunes and I could sense Joan moving her feet. I was
tapping along and just said to her “may I take this dance?” and that was that.”

The couple from Wolverhampton, who have been together for 40 years, met at a dance class in the 1970s.
A dancing couple have become an internet hit after waltzing their way round a city centre to the simple accompaniment of an accordion.
Joan and her partner of 40 years, Thomas, brought strictly to the streets when they broke out into an impromptu ballroom dance.
The pair, who met at a dancing class, delighted dozens of passers-by with their ballroom routine to the sounds of a nearby busker.

Scores of shoppers and workers stopped in Wolverhampton city centre to watch the quick-footed couple and soon began to cheer and clap at the heart-warming scene.
Thomas, a former brick layer, said: “We have both started dancing when we were about 14. We love The ‘nimble’ couple danced around Wolverhampton city centre.”
Joan said they both watch Strictly Come Dancing every week and they are ‘very nimble for our age’.
She added: “We do the cha cha, waltz, fox trot, samba, the quick step, we do them all.”
Shopper Daniella Brook, 25, who filmed the heart-warming moment, said: “I was just out shopping with a friend and saw them and it touched my heart that they are still in love with dancing, and each other, after all these years.”
