Another APC Governor Faces Impeachment In Nasarawa State

It seems the only way for President Goodluck Jonathan to make impact in the 2015 presidential election is for the PDP to take some states from APC which currently controls the 4 most populous states in Nigeria and the Presidency and its agents are doing everything possible to achieve this agenda.
While the PDP-controlled Adamawa State House of Assembly is working to impeach Gov Murtala Nyako, the Nasarawa State House of Assembly controlled by the same PDP has also commenced impeachment moves against the state governor, Umaru Al-Makura.
The Assembly on Monday directed its Clerk‎, Ego Maikeffi, to serve Mr. Al-Makura with the impeachment notice for alleged gross misconduct and misappropriation of funds. The notice was signed by 20 of the 24 lawmakers in the state during a sitting presided over by the Speaker, Ahmed Mohammed.
The 16-count charge borders on alleged extra-budgetary expenses by the governor...
Nasarawa has 20 PDP lawmakers and 4 APC lawmakers. The state governor is a member of the APC.

The notice of impeachment was agreed few hours before the visit of President Goodluck Jonathan to the state to commission a rice farm in Doma. The political atmosphere in the state is combustible.
